Residential Window Cleaning

This is what we do most. Most of our week is spent cleaning windows on homes around Strongsville and the surrounding southwest Cleveland suburbs — everything from a small ranch to a three-story colonial with a lot of glass.

Exterior only, or interior and exterior?

Exterior-only is the most common choice, and for a lot of homes it's all you need. Rain, pollen and road dust hit the outside of the glass; the inside usually stays reasonably clean unless you cook near a window, have pets, or have kids with good aim.

Interior and exterior is the right call once or twice a year, before hosting, before listing a home, or any time you look at the glass from the couch and can tell. If you're not sure, tell us what you're seeing and we'll give you an honest answer — sometimes that answer is "just do the outside this time."

How we actually reach your windows

Ground-floor glass is usually cleaned traditionally — soap, a scrubber and a squeegee — because nothing beats hand-detailing for a first-floor window you look through every day.

Upper-floor exteriors are cleaned either from a ladder or with a water-fed pole running purified water, depending on the house, the landscaping and how safe the footing is. Water-fed poles let us clean second- and third-story glass from the ground without walking through your flower beds or leaning ladders on your gutters.

We work to roughly three stories. We don't do high-rise work, and we'll tell you straight if something is outside what we should be doing.

Screens, tracks and the parts people forget

Screens get cleaned rather than just popped out and leaned against the siding. Tracks and sills get the built-up grit removed, which is usually the difference between "clean windows" and "the whole window looks new."

If a screen is torn or a crank is broken, we'll point it out. We're not going to quietly break something and hope you don't notice.

Hard water, mineral spotting and older glass

Sprinkler overspray and years of runoff leave mineral deposits that regular cleaning won't touch. In many cases we can improve or remove them with a restoration process. In some cases the glass is permanently etched and no one can fix it — we'd rather tell you that up front than sell you a service that won't work.

How often homeowners usually schedule

Twice a year — spring and fall — covers most homes in Northeast Ohio. Homes under heavy tree cover, near busy roads, or with sprinklers hitting the glass often go three or four times a year. Plenty of customers do exteriors twice a year and add interiors once.

We'll remind you when you're due if you'd like. No contract, no auto-charging.
