Common questions about window cleaning

Pricing, scheduling, screens and tracks, hard water stains, weather and insurance — answered for homes and businesses around Strongsville, Ohio.

How do estimates work?

Call or text 440-207-0991, or send us the quote form. Tell us roughly how many windows you have, how many stories, and whether you want inside and out. A few phone photos help a lot. Most jobs we can quote without stopping by; if it's a bigger or unusual property, we'll come look. Estimates are free either way.

How much does window cleaning cost?

It depends on the number of windows, the type of glass, how many stories, and whether you want interior and exterior. That's why we quote per property instead of posting a flat rate that would be wrong for most homes. Tell us what you've got and we'll give you a real number.

Do I need to be home?

Not for exterior-only work — plenty of customers are at work while we're there. For interior cleaning, someone needs to let us in. We'll confirm the plan when we schedule.

How long has Westlake Window Cleaners been in business?

The business has been operating for 6 years, backed by 22 years of hands-on experience in the window cleaning industry.

Are you insured?

Yes. We're fully insured and carry workers' compensation coverage. If you or your property manager needs a certificate of insurance, just ask.

How high can you work?

We work to roughly three stories using ladders, extension poles, water-fed poles, and lifts where appropriate. We don't do high-rise window cleaning.

What's a water-fed pole, and when do you use one?

It's a pole that feeds purified water to a brush head, so we can clean upper-floor exterior glass from the ground. It's safer than a ladder, keeps us out of your landscaping, and dries spot-free because the water has no minerals in it. First-floor glass is usually still cleaned traditionally with a squeegee.

Do you clean screens, tracks and sills?

Yes. Screens are cleaned and reinstalled, and tracks and sills get the built-up grit removed. Tell us if you'd rather we skip them and we will.

Can you remove hard water stains?

Often, yes. Sprinkler overspray and mineral runoff can usually be improved or removed with a restoration process. Glass that's been etched for years may be permanently damaged — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in rather than charging you for a service that won't work.

How often should windows be cleaned?

Twice a year covers most homes here — spring and fall. Homes under heavy tree cover, on busy roads, or with sprinklers hitting the glass often do three or four exterior cleanings a year.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain usually isn't a problem, and clean glass doesn't get dirty just because it rains. Heavy weather means we reschedule, and we'll call you — you won't be left wondering.

Do I need to do anything to get ready?

Not much. Move breakables off the sills, unlock the gate, and let us know about pets or an alarm. For interior work, a little clearance in front of the windows helps. We'll handle the rest.

Do you offer recurring service?

Yes, for homes and businesses. There's no contract — we just get you on a schedule and check in before each visit.

What areas do you serve?

Strongsville and the surrounding southwest Greater Cleveland communities, including Brunswick, Medina, North Royalton, Berea, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville and Columbia Station, plus much of the west side and Northeast Ohio. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just ask.

How do I book?
